Went up to lake Isabella for quik trip. Got there at night and set up camp late. The next morning the wind was really blowing at the lake so I decided to check out the kern river. This was my first time on the kern and it was a blast. Caught 4 really good sized fish all on panther martins. I was fishing near the power plant and a little farther up at Kern River Beach (I think thats the name). I kept a really good sized fish because he swallowed my lure and after just cutting the line and hoping the hook would rust out, he washed up shore about ten feet down stream. Got my lure back though! Can someone send me a link of how to post pics haha, here's a couple links.

Oh yea I also went to the Kern River Trout plant per T/O's post, pretty cool. The trout that hatchery is planting are huge, some look over 5lbs. I've only been fishing in a few creeks and streams in the LA area and once at Lee Vineing above bishop. Lee Vineing had the biggest trout at about a pound and around 12 inches. I was under the impression that all trout stocked were about this size. Is this a normal thing for the Kern River Hatchery to be planting this size trout?

Cheers
