Casitas 3-4... Collecting Unemployment and Liking It

I have been laid off for about 3 weeks. So far been golfing 3 times and fishing this one time. Just moved to Oxnard last week, and decided to hit up my new home lake. Caught 2 little males off beds. I dont really like going for spawners but I cant stop myself, when I know where they are, its hard to fish aimlessly where I dont know where they are. I was hoping to throw the swim bait but it turns out they aren't going to stock the lake with trout forever probably, still I gave it like 40 casts. Anyways the fish were fun on 4 lb test.

If you have the time, grab a map and head back to Deep Cat in the Northwest corner. Take the road ALL the way to the end, and hike the rest of the way. You can make your way to the shoreline from Coyote Creek Launch Ramp and then walk all the way to it.

I went there last week (Deep Cat), caught 2 4lbers and a 2 lber. There is a nice drop off / point structures, underwater boulders and weedbeds, and some trees.

Nice Spot..its secluded as well.
