You know I forgot to mention these fish where running about 17 to 25lbs and are being caught
on the yo-yo iron, about 120 to 200 ft deep , just fast crank off the bottom, about half way
up if you don't get bit drop back down and wind again.
Fished aboard the Voyager out of Seaforth Sport Fishing and the Captain and crew where
excellent , these guys where coaching , removing tangled lines and right there to gaff the
fish when you seen or yelled color , couldn't have asked for more from the crew . They even
let us use the bunks to take a little ciesta . Good times indeed .........

Great catches man!! Are the bigger lures working better since they fall faster? What size lures are being used or preferred by the crew?

Hi BigBass777
I was using A salas 6x jr all white but seen all colors working , scrambled egg etc.
Bigger/heavier seemed to be better so you could drop down faster and crank it back
up. The boats are just chasing the schools of YT trying to cut them off so you need to
get your lure down quick befor the school of YT moves on. Lots of run & gun fishing.
good Luck
