I opted to hit up SFD again on the way home this afternoon.
It was cold and windy with the sun dancing in and out of the clouds.
I started off with the drop shot, workin' the robo. I had a couple passive hits. No takers.
Next, I tie up the 1/4 ounce LE spinner on the colorado. 3rd cast, and I hooked a bassy. I worked the spinner real slow and he snatched it about 10 feet from shore. Got my fix for the day.
Next I tie up a SK red eye ghost shad cranker. I start placing it off this particular point where water was still. The lake flowed like a river for the most part of the afternoon. On my fourth or so cast, I get hit. It has good weight to it, I start smilin'. I bring it in about 15 feet off shore and the sucker zipps on me, and starts taking line out. I then begin to smile even harder. I finally get it in. The verrdict: A damn flathead kitty.
Had fun bringin' him in however. Both were released of course.
