Had somwehat high hopes for the DVl LMB bite today. Decent weather report, okay report from the marina, and decent report from Last Chance. The marina intel was all that we saw come true today. It started with the weather, was supposed to be 65, and partly cloudy with 4-5 mph wind. It was mostly cloudy (rained really early), got only up to 58, and the wind kicked up to 10-12 mph. We caught 2 LMB (lost another one) on senkos really shallow - probably prespawn males cruising around. We never saw any bedding bass. Also caught a 1 1/2 pound trout on a DS nightcrawler (just soaking). Heard a lot of skunks from others. Looks like these darn storms are keeping the spawn back a while longer. Water was still only 58 degrees. But will still be back out there soon.
