Recently I have been getting free parking since no one seems to be working the gate. However, this time I was surprised to see someone there. The guy working told me that during the weekdays it's usually free and on the weekends you need to pay. He said that starting in March, you will need to pay every day of the week.
Anyways, got there around 3:30 p.m. I was using 6lb line and throwing out everything; spinners, swimbait, worms, etc. Finally, I put on a crankbait and tossed it out.
I ended up snagging a carp on his tail. This guy put up a really good fight. Jumped out of the water a couple times. Got the crankbait out of his tail and let him go.
