Fishin’ At Lake Mission Viejo 2/26/2010:

The lake was stocked with 4,000lbs of Nebraska on Wednesday night about 11:00pm. Today wasn’t even crowded and it was a very good bite. The bite was so off the hook the 4 of us were done within the first hour. After Simon and I anchor he gets a fish on his first cast. He proceeds to catch 2 more before I catch my first one on a kastmaster. It comes off and I get a fish on another cast during the fall and missed that one too. Quan brought his friend Randy and both of them were hooking up too. It was Randy’s first time fishing. We were for the most part drop shotting a powerworm and shaking it. This was my first time ever using the drop shot rig and I landed 2 fish with it on Simon’s fishing pole. He was done fishing and had to wait for me. So he’s like wanna try the drop shot rig? 10 minutes later we were done. The fish were out in front of the main swimbeach. A lake member decided to take laps in the swimbeach with a wetsuit on. It might of chased the fish out of the swimbeach and it was easy pickings.

My first 2 fish landed in the boat was on a powermouse jigged back to the boat. The color combo was a chartreuse powerworm, white poweregg, #8 Owner Mosquito hook, and a Water Gremlin pss-4 split shot 3 ft from the powermouse. Simon was drop shotting a white powerworm and the trout were attacking it like crazy. I don't know what colors Quan and Randy were using.

Thanks for coming out guys! Here are the pics!
