Hey fellow FNNer's , we have a on the water report from Lagoon Legend RAY LO
and Fishbones(Lagoon apprentice) . I've been getting reports all morning and the
guys just wanted me to share. Now the following is a text message conversation and
is 100 % the hole truth and nothing but the truth(allegedly). :LOL:



Fishbones : 5:58 am , whats up Chuck you awake ?? just got here(the lagoon) .. what area where
you catching those fish ??

Me : 5:58 am , WHAT ITS TOO EARLY ! TRY THE RHINO , I'M GOING BACK TO SLEEP !!!

Me : 8:18 am , hey Fishbones any luck yet ??

Fishbones : 8:34 am , Oh thanks for the quick reply !! No not yet ...

Fishbones : 8:34 am , Hey I'm fishing with Ray Lo ...

Me : 8:36 AM , Oh cool , a Lagoon legend , make sure and save some fish for the rest of us & tell him I said hello...

Fishbones : 9:18 am , Hey just got A 3 lber ...

Me : 9:30 am , great send me a pic ...

Fishbones : 9:39 am , OH , Ray took it on his phone...(allegedly):LOL:

Fishbones : 9:43 am , Hey Ray has 3 fish so far ....

Fishbones : 10:48 am , hey just caught a dink ...

Me : 10:50 am , cool keep trying ...

Fishbones : 11:48 am , Just got another dink ...

Fishbones : 11:50 am , and Rays friend has 2 bass so far ..

Me : 12:00 pm , sounds like fun , NOW , no lunch breaks just keep fishing , no pain no gain !!! make us(FNN) proud...

Fishbones : 2:38 pm , Hey just broke off a biggen...aw damn...and lost a dink !!(allegedly).

Me : 2:40 pm , that sucks , hey stay focused dont let it get to you ...

Me : 2:40 pm , what about the rest of the crew how are they doing ??

Fishbones : 2:41, they left ...maybe back later , just me now ...

Me : 2:41 pm , allright way to be hardcore , no breaks keep fishing !!!

Me : 5:56 pm , hey hows it going out there , you staying for the night bite ?? what about Ray ??

Fishbones : 6:03 pm , Ray hasnt come back yet , yeah think I'm staying , got another dink and missed one ...

Me : 6:11 pm , OK good luck and watch out for the creatures of the night up there...

Fishbones : 7:58 pm , hey its raining here , thats it I'm calling it a night...

Me : 7:58 pm , what you didnt bring your rain suit , this aint golf keep fishing lol...:LOL:

yea today was pretty cool. Gotta love meeting up with fellow fisherman and showing um around my mistress the Lagoon.

I'm just glad i was able to break in his new rod and some lagoon bass.

Here are the pics i took today. I ended up with 3 and missed about 4 or 5. Lots of tiny taps on the worm this morning.

really weird i knew everyone fishing from shore this morning. All my lagoon fishermen were stacked up going after the mossy back.

I'll be out there again tomorrow gonna set my alarm this time to make sure i don't sleep in like today. Seems that morning bite is key right now. Could also mean the night bite is killer too. The mid day seems to be the lull in the fishing right now. So if you can get there in the morning or right at sundowwn you will increse your chances at landing some pigs at the goon.


Same as before landing all my fish on d/s oxblood red flake 6" Straight tail

lol he stuck in there tho today. It was on and off light rain and wind kicked in half way thru the day too.

How many did he end up catching today?

He was also hooked and said he is gonna come back out tomorrow lol.

First off i must say thank you to ray lopez.....what a class act he is,
to go out of his way, show and teach me what he knows was really impressive.
He would make a awesome lagoon guide with his experience and advice to get
anybody hooked up and help them out.
such a friendly,out going guy that would give you the shirt off his back...
Ray ...i applaud you ....your a great fisherman and i look foward to fishing with
and learning from you again in the future...

i am addicted to the lagoon for sure....LOL
