Took advantage of the furlough day, so hit up the harbor at about 4:00 and fished till 6:00. Fish are biting and biting well, but I just couldn't get anything going. Birdsnests, missed casts, missed bites, and snags where I usually don't get them. The other Kevin however, did pretty decent. They were biting the 2" shrimps well on the leadhead as well as the DS. I am so sick of fishing the swimmie, I decided to leave them in the box today. Probably should've taken them out. Oh well...

Employees working in the nearby building came out to watch the fight. Thanks again to the guy that provided the tape measure. Juvenile at 19", but he'll be ripe soon.

You guys did well out there Kevin. Seems you always pull in at least 1 to remove the skunk.
Thanks for the report and pictures,
Robert

Nice report. I loved furlough days my last semester in college. I know it sucks for the teachers because they don't get paid, but for some it is a nice break.

I had no idea that you were allowed to fish those places. I might have to give it a try some day, but don't worry I release everything I catch in the harbor.

Nice job again Kev x 2!!

Seems like the lack of the normal baitfish is causing them all to grab the artificials!
