Long day hiking the canyon today. 7 hours spent fishing and hiking. Managed just over 20 fish today, and lost around 10. Made a mistake on the approach to what seemed to be a promising hole and I spooked the biggest fish of the day by far. He had to be about 14" or so. I used a few things today in my hunt, dry flies, a new jig a picked up from BPS and small night crawlers.

Great day, but REALLY I'm soo tired and sore from busting my bum and knee on a rock trying to act like Bear Grylls...lol Gotta be careful out there!

There is still snow on the ground

He is hard to see but I was sitting down re-tying and saw this guy swimming up a friggin waterfall. He just swam straight up the damn thing, like a 3' tall gap up! So I followed him and got a blurry pick of his back breaking the water.

This way my biggest fish of the day and measured in at 12"

Pretty little guy

Was really tempted to tie one of these guys on...

Pulled this guy out of the water by mistake, opps. Very aggressive but kind of small to be maturing. His mouth was very large and reminded me of a brown. I lost another one in this spot that was bigger but looked very much the same.

It does, its been the only fish I have caught that is colored like this. They have not stocked this water in a long time and when they did they stock it like 7 miles down stream from where I caught it, so I don't know.

Stocker?? No WAY.... Full tail ... white tip fins... not a chance. Great job LittleBoyBlue!! All the hiking and hard work paid off.
