five hours yes and you might head back in earlier but you will be out there for awhile it takes the a heck of a long time to clean all the squid but once you get to the grounds in an hour you will have all the squid you need to keep so go out there and get them but you might but done fishing at 10 but expect to stay till around midnight for the cleaning and know the cleaning squid is not an option it is required so the landing doesnt get ink all over it and its 3 bucks a suid so make sure you keep only what you can afford and want

went for the squid 2 yrs ago with my buddy Ozzy caught 30 or more we just threw them in our sack and some guy took them we just wanted to catch them they never complained about having us clean the squid but that was 2 yrs ago

I was wondering if the deckhands toss out the heads or do some guys keep them ?

Anyone thought of making a cookie cutter shaped like a 6" market squid to stamp the slabs and use them for bait ? :EyePop:

That was 2 years ago. I know alot of the local business down where Newport and Davey's Locker are were complaining seeing squid ink on the sidewalk in the morning and it's very hard to wash away. After those complaints they made it mandatory to have your squid cleaned so there would be no more ink trails on the sidewalks anymore.
