Hit the shore from 7-9 am yesterday. Had some powerbait soaking, and threw some swimbaits and C-rigs for nothing. C-rig got short bit once. Did not see any other catches at all. Water is warming up, great weather this week, but crappr again next week. Looks like no prespawn til March. Met a guy throwing swimbaits, and we got to talking about calico fishing in the kelp - got me all fired up.
