Finally found those pictures I promised a year or two ago.
Western Sierras (real mans' country) , Coyote lake, Ca. No amenities like the east side. :Secret:
Age.. very young. between 8-14 years old (these are pics of a couple of the same sierras trips from back then.. me at different ages)
Distance = 8 miles with 40lbs or more on my back.
Time stayed living off the fish = 2 weeks
I was a successful Sierras Trout fisherman many years ago.
Check out my Pennywise shirt too! Damn I was punk rock way back then. hahaha
Last picture is me now.

Creek fishing many years before I even knew about this website

Fish on! Yep, I use the same hand then I do now. I couldn't stand my uncle's right hand retrieve set up.
Notice the spinning reel on top. lol

This is how you do it on the west side of the sierras since you can't buy any food here.

"Uncle Bill". The guy who took me to these places since I never had a dad.

We slept in this tent for two weeks.

Hey Buddy! Thanks for sharing those pics! I need to find some old ones and scan them in too! It looks like you had a great little dog with you the whole trip!

We still need to hit the creeks sometime! Have you decided on a backpacking trip this year yet?

No backpacking yet this year planned. Will probably do a small one just to get some use from my gear so it's not so dusty. I have not rid of any of my gear.
Next time I go to the Sierras I will be camping/fishing off my motorcycle.
I sold my car and this is all I drive now. Happier than I can convey to be riding again.

I need to get out and fish. I just stocked up on all the bass gear for a whole season including some 6" BBZ's and my favorite reaction baits.

The little dog's name was "Butch". The best trained Jack Russel Terrier I've ever known.

Yeah Sorry VG. I was kinda anal and nutty when I quit smoking. We'll have to drop it and get out to fish again. We were a pretty unstoppable team..
The bike is a 2010 special edition 250. Hence the paint/stickers. (only difference between reg and SE)
I can still clutch it up on one wheel and scrape knees and keep up with the 600's just as good though. They only get me on the freeway.

Nope, never grew into my ears Long Beach. lol I think they're the right size just the wrong angle. hahaha

Yo Sean, long time no see buddy.. told ya I'd be riding again one day man!

Suzuki jacket on the Kawi cause it's my old gear from my jixxer. Looks funny I know. I have new leather pants now (with slide pucks hehe) since that picture. Need a new matching jacket to zip to the new pants.

Now I'm draggin' knees on my way to the creek to fish trouts. lol
If I get skunked at least I got my adrenaline pumping.

Hey TJ, Good to see you back. Miss those creek and Perris reports. My bro got a canoe and decked it out so I am ready to hit that island and East end at Perris.

Hey TJ! Where the hello have you been bro? You have only been gone for a year or so (jk). I missed all your great reports and photos. Now get back out to Perris and give me a good report, so I can go and know where to fish and what to use! Welcome back C.

Thanks for the warm re-welcome guys.

Probably best I don't report for now about my fishing adventures, but I'll post up a photo if I get something nice. I'm sure I'll see you guys out on the lake too. Definitely noticed the warm weather the last few days. A couple weeks ago I told Matt D that Monday the 15th was the start of the season... had a hunch and could feel it in my bass bone.

I had no idea about Angler's. I'll never forget that place.. Just a mention of that place brings back wild arm burning WFO bass fishing memories. Makes me remember why I love those feisty green fish along with the trouts and the ocean fishes. I've had some good times with the bass in my short bass fishing experience. :Envious: Any bass left in that small place must be toadzillas by now.

Like curious cats after your ball of string.

TJ, when are you going to hit up the surf again? Even though creeking is fun, halibut season is just around the corner and that 30in fish is just waiting! Your old stomping grounds should be holding once the swells die down... good to see you're back man.
