Went out looking for Albies on my buddy's boat. We launched out of Dana and headed for the 209. 71 degree water along the beach and a slow drop as you headed offshore. Never really found a sharp break, mostly up to half a degree, usually less but we did find the right area which had purple water. On the 209 we found 66.0- 66.4 degree water and headed south towards the 182. Saw some signs of life around but nothing too exciting. Made it about 5 miles below the bank in 65.2-65.5 dgree water and trolled for an hour or so for nothing, then trolled back up for nothing.

Found 2 gigantic paddies in warmer water. The first one could fit a house ontop of it. It had a Mola and some bait under it. The second one had a big school of puddling firecrackers that didn't want to play.

I guess the bite was off in the morning and then a few fish were caught in the area in the afternoon. Anyway, we didn't want to wait so we headed for Cat. Island to do some bassin'.

Water temp on the beach at the Island is 70-71 and the bass are biting WFO. Guaranteed bite every bait within seconds. Nothing big for us, though. A few on plastics and a few Gar on the iron. No yellows where we were. Fished a little West of Avalon. We originally wanted to hit the backside for bigger fish but the wind was ripping around the corner at the East end so we ducked out on the frontside.

Major amounts of porpose offshore, including some Risso's.
