I was sitting at home on the computer continuously hitting refresh and new post on FNN of coarse and my phone rang it was "Fisherman from Long Beach" he said he had the monarch up and running and he wanted to meet up and do a trip out to the breakwall. So we planned to meet up at 6:30 and was joined by his cousin dan (a real cool cat) and loaded up the gear and head out from there to cabrillo to launch the boat. The weather was beautiful and a great day for some fishing.

We launched the boat and the motor started acting up..."Fisherman from long beach" says he just worked on it and had it running great yesterday..so after a few minutes inspecting and after removing the cover of the motor we notice a spark plug wire had been hit and knocked off the night before when working on it.....Nice joke "dan"....LOL....VVVRRROOOOOOMMM motor ran like a champ.

We started off on the outside breakwall with nice weather and small swells, fishing with a leadhead and hole squid and ghostshrimp.

The bite was fair with some nice fish caught untill the the wind and swells picked up and made us move so we fished the inside breakwall for a while with the bite slowing down throughout the rest of the day.
