View Full Version : SSS Skinner Stocker Slay 2/13/10

Got out @ 7 headed to the spot, first fish within 5 minutes. Got about 5 then it died, so we made a small move and the slay was on. We ended up boating 32 fish by 10:30 and 10 in the boat that we could not save. Everything today was on the blown crawler. Another epic day at Skinner the past year is by far the best I have ever seen Skinner. Another epic day with the old man. Off to Ventura with the wife for V day. I am going whale watching monday. I have never been on the Ranger 85 when I didnt fish. This is going to be weird.

good to see the amount of fish u caught.
i have never been to lake skinner but i will probably head out there for presidents day.
do u think fishing from the shore be a good day with decent amount of trout??thanks for your help.

i saw several limits come from the shore fisherman today

yeah ive been trying castaic and cachuma for trout during the stocks in the winter.only had 1 at cachuma on powerbait.
when did they stock skinner?

sorry to bother you on all these questions but i want to make sure the long trip to skinner is a good one.
do you think the fishing slows down after a few days of stocking or is it constant for a week or two?

Way to slay them boyz Pete. Hope to see you and your dad at the lake sometime, I'm hoping to fish this monday. Have a great trip up north.
