What hook size for bloodworms at castaic

For stripers, I was thinking of using size 2 mosquito hook. I heard you can use a half of a bloodworm (an inch or two), then put apiece or half night crawler. I will be using the CR and Split shot

Use the small mosquito hooks but make sure the wire is not too thin. Or circle hooks for that matter, those worked for me. My buddy Stephen showed me the way of the bloodworms on stripers and I had never seen them in action before. Insane. I have never seen a bait work that good on stripers when the bite is tough and they are deep. Stephen is the man !
