All,
Just a reminder, we will be stocking 5,000 pounds of steelhead tomorrow [Thursday].
These are a little larger-grade steelies than we usually get, and are averaging over 4 pounds each.
A couple of hints from previous years include the fact that they like the color pink, and are a little more "chase" oriented than regular rainbows.
They also fight a lot more, so loosen your drags a bit.
Any Irvine veterans of "silver bullet" plants in the past that want to post what worked for them, I'm sure it would be appreciated by all.

I got one thing......Pink Chad power worms :) went WFO #1 bait after the steelies went in last year. Hope it helps

You just gotta get out and fish!
I caught many on everything from worms to power bait and lures.
I agree that they are much more "chase" oriented thus killin'em on the troll.

Actually I caught a Phenix rod w/ a reel on it with that same lure...Heard someone dropped it over the rail... j/k
I'll be out there Saturday Sunday and maybe Monday (if some has room on it)
