There was a chance of rain in the morning and a lot of fog, so Robo Bass and I decided not to go to the Lagoon until about 9:15. Gerody Bass and deadroots were supposed to go too, but deadroots ended up not going and Geordy came later. It looked like it was going to be a really nice day in the morning and it was getting pretty warm. One guy came down from the Upper Lake and said there were white caps already and that it was only a matter of time before the wind reached the Lagoon. As we made our way across the lake to our first spot, I start to hear a lot of noise from the water and thought it was just a boat, but it was whitecaps and waves approaching us. It was pretty crazy having half the lake pretty calm and then the other half raging from the wind. We made it to our first spot and the wind died down some, but not too much. We keep getting blown off the spots that we metered bait, but Robo Bass eventually hooks into a small crappie. The crappie was only 8 inches and it was the smallest crappie he has every caught! A little while later, I got a classic crappie nibble on my lure, but miss it. After that, Geordy arrives and makes his way across to where we were. A little after that, we decided to go into Paradise Cove to avoid some of the wind. Geordy finally made it across against the high winds at that point. We try to find the fish in Paradise Cove, but end up with nothing. I ended up snagging one of my finesse jigs in Paradise Cove that I just bought, so I was pretty mad about that. We weren't finding anything, so I decided to move up to where Robo Bass caught his crappie, because that spot usually has some fish. I almost get to the spot and the wind start howling. It was pretty unsafe and waves started crashing on my reels, lol. At that point I decided to just go to shore and stay there. It was just getting too windy. It was a very disappointing day and we were only able to fish for a couple hours because of the wind and I only got to hit 2 spots out of the many that I have.

Robo Bass's TINY crappie! At least he didn't get skunked!

It was hard to get good shots of the waves and whitecaps, but I got some to demonstate what it was like. The pictures were taken when it wasn't that windy compared to different parts of the day. I also got some nice shots that I would classify as "artistic photography," but I am not going to upload those.

I been on a day with winds. I had to surf my way in. Retrieving the boats was a terrible with what looked like 2 foot waves.
