FNN'er's,
Figured I would give it a try on the hopes we didn't drown Friday morning.
The old man came down and we packed up and headed to the lake. Got there right at 6 with only about
twenty cars in line.
Nice to know we weren't the only stupid ones.
Got to a spot a little further down the Santiago Flats side than I usually fish, but it looked promising.
Anyhow, with the amount of water now in the lake it was as flat a place as we could find.
Dad at 75 has a tough time walking down grades of much degree.
Anyway, we got set up and the bite was really slow. We tried damn near everything we had, even went to the store for some crawlers but they were out.
How do you run out of nightcrawlers? I guess a bunch of them had died.
So back to the fishing, dad finally hooks up about 8:30 and lands an okay fish probably a pound or so.
It wasn't until about 9:30 before I got my one and only, nicer fish about 2 1/2.
It rained off and on all morning, with the patrol finally asking everyone to move their cars to the blacktop around 10:00.
By that time it was pouring so we called it a day,
Two fishermen, two fish and a lot of time just sittin' and talkin'.
