The brown trout was CPR, from convict creek and the bigger rainbows were caught at Crowley and taken home. I think convict lake is always tough because of the pressure and the wind! Convict creek and lake are absolutely beautiful and worth dealing with the crowds. Best baits-power bait, night crawlers & salmon eggs. Lures-rooster tails, flys, small spoons & spinners.
Crowley lake does not look like much, but it is the best pound for pound trout lake in the area. You can easily hook a 4 or 5 pounder from shore with a little work. It is good fishing with bait-powerbait, gulp eggs & nightcrawlers. Lures-flys, spoons, jigs. All fish caught from shore. Good Fishing to all!
