Took my girl out to castaic to soak up some good weather and get her her first striper. We got there at about 8am and had the whole ramp to ourselves. There were about 18 trailers in the parkinglot. We launched and headed straight to the same spot I fished last time, about 2 weeks ago before the storms. There were already half of the boats on the lake at the spot. rentals included. We setup in 100 ft of water next to a couple other boats.

After a few minutes, the double dropper loop rig went bendo. Ann draws her first blood and first striped bass, and a nice one

Caught a few fish there real quick when the ol lady said she had to go to the bathroom. I was hoping to go and comeback and setup sameway. When we returned, bite shut off for us, but we watched the skeeter in the first pic go ballistic on mr stripey. They caught easy limits. we couldn't get bit after our return. we ended the day early as it was getting chilly. We had a few fish, and enjoyed the early weather in the day.
