Castaic lake friday striper report

Got on the water at 10 am, water was 54 degrees. Brrrrrr.. fished with chovies and sardines. Bites were very light, and not very many of them. probably hooked 1 out of 10 bites. very slow. ended up with 4 fish about 2 lbs each, for 3 peolpe. All fish were caught at bouy line in about 80' of water. The fish didn't even put up that great of a fight. I think the water is just to cold right now. Will try to post pics tomorrow.

When I went on Saturday, it was already really slow, but I only went for a couple hours before closing. I was able to see fish on the graph at the buoy line and near Elizabeth Canyon, but they just wouldn't take the bait, lol. Was was wrong with them? Lol. The time before that they were pulling on the bait and everything a lot, but this time they weren't even doing that!
