1/30 No Fish, just boat ride

Went out today from 10:00 to 2:30 with my wife and both my girls, very nice day to be on the water. Didn't put much effort into fishing today due to the family, but really enjoyed the boat ride. Saw alot of boats on the water, guess they don't post. Anyways, the lake looks good if you haven't made it out since they re-opened the ramp, you need to go. I played with my electronics and meetered the fish hugging the bottom, 30 to 50 feet. The water is still stained from the recent rains with visabilty about 6-8 feet, temp around 57.

i was out there friday when they had the tourny, didn't enter the tourny but did okay that day ended the day with 9 largies. Seems like a morning bite for about an hour feeding on the shad in the shallows. Did get two swimbait fish as well but were small only about 4 lbers. After about 9AM the bite shutsdown down bigtime even on the C-rigs fishing deep. Still far from pre-spawn unfortunately maybe late feb early march
