"13 -LB Opaleye bagged by skindiver

officials of the state F&G disclosed Thursday that the 13.46 pound fish taken a Laguna Beach by skindiver David Williams of Pico Rivera, has been identified as a Opaleye

The weight of the fish surprised and amazed fishery biologist, because normally this popular game fish reaches a weight of about six pounds.

Before William's fish was authenticated the heaviest Opaleye on record with the F&G was a 6-1/8 pounder"

How was it bagged by a skin diver if there is a hook in its mouth? I'm a little skeptical you would not to hold a 13lb fish in your palm like that.

The pic is not the fish in the article, a 13 lber would be 3 times that size. 1964 Article

I Hate Rats. Kill them all. Killed about 20 of them 5 years ago. Even tore out a really nice Fig Tree they were eating.
My neighbor across the street had the city poisoning them too. People leave cat food out and the racoons, oposum, Rats eat it.
Some lady feeds these wild cats across the street at the condos above Rat Beach and above the pool at Haggerty's/Malaga.
If the Feral Cats don't kill the Rats then kill the cats too. PV has alot of rats too, they live in the ivy.
