Was really kind of Bum-Tripped going to the Bu and finding Micro-Weed and rolling boulders
most of the coastal areas I went to . Do not fish Malibu without waders !!!

Although after trying a few spots, decided to hit "Free Zuma" .
Water was clear,no weed ,good trenches, but high waves, strong rip current, which translates into a
SKUNK !!!
Fished a sort of new ,low tide only boiler structure area yesterday, that produced a little.(Prev. Report)
But decided to try a new low tide boiler rock area I remembered seeing but never tried to fish !!!
One thing I noticed is that these Bolier structure areas usually do not produce in less than four feet of
water. Optimum conditions I have found so far are, two boilers or rock structures separate wherein a
decent size width of channeled water flows thru can produce some decent catches
if you catch the right tide level.!!! So saying that, I found a new low tide only Boiler rock structure
area today that in those conditions produced fairly well :Big Grin:
This may be old knowledge stuff for some Veterans, but to me who only used to perch fish two
hours before and two hours after high tide, it is good to discover new ways and methods
to Re-Con and experiment !!! Especially when the plan comes together !!! :Big Grin:
Here is the Fishies that were caught on the new found low tide Boiler area.

Good job on getting the perch to play. I like your recon strategy... find a new spot, try it out, if you dont catch a fish... try a different tide on another day - catch fish. Around here, we hear way too much "I got skunked and I'm never going back" Persistance usually pays off:LOL:

Very nice adaptation in a dismal situation. I've noticed that the biggest BSP's I've ever caught are near boilers(literally within 5 ft) and love, love, love sidewinder crabs. Mussels can be just as effective. Not to mention, I love it when they try to pull you under a rock. I usually fish 10lb test and still get schooled every now and again.

My recon team have reported back with some less than favorable post storm conditions.
Just might have to go out there and see for myself this weekend...
Nice report FS!

Nice job hitting up spot that did not produce in previous attempts. I'm right there with you. I'll report shortly.
