View Full Version : LOADED Fish soup

Heres a soup I put together last week. It was going to be fish and shrimp with all the fixings before I found a great price on the crab. So, I added that to the pot and here’s how it went…

Ingredients:
3 celery stalks, 2 carrots, half of 1 onion, and a handful of fresh green beans chopped
3 cloves of garlic minced
2 whole corn cut into ¼
¼ cup chopped cilantro leaves
1 can of diced tomatoes (no salt added)
5 cups of veggie broth
1 cup of clamato
1 small zucchini cut into ¼ lengthwise and chopped
1 lb of fish cut in 2” pieces. I used striped bass
1 lb of shrimp
90 grams of crab. It was a great deal I got at Ralph’s. King crab joints for 3.99 with your rewards card. Lol.

In a lightly oiled pot add the celery, carrots, onion, and green beans then throw in minced garlic. While that sweats add some old bay, and crushed red pepper. Then add the veggie broth, clamato juice and diced tomatoes. Cover and bring to a boil. Once it starts to boil cut the heat to a simmer and let it go for 10 minutes. Then add the corn, zucchini, and chopped cilantro leaves and let simmer.

10 minutes before you cut the heat add your fish, crab, and shrimp to the party and cover. Throw on some fresh chopped cilantro after you dish it up and you‘re good to go.

It fed 5 people and the only leftovers were the crab shells and corn cobs. :Envious:

That is definately on the "to cook" list! I'm going to try it with some rockcod!
