A bit short on fair chase and ethics, but hell for effectiveness.
Reminds me of a call I took in the early 1980s to assist DFG at Lake Fulmor. It seemed a few newly-arrived immigrants from Southeast Asia (living in Banning) would follow the trout truck up S.R. 243--watch the fish cascade down the trout spout--then after truck left, run a gill net around the lake. Quite a haul they made, until the Warden and a couple of us deputies put their act up on blocks. Preposterous.
