RUBY WEDNESDAY - The Bite Was On!

Hi everyone!......

What a crazy week of weather its been so far........ BUT, the rain held off Wednesday for the most part during the morning hours and the bite at SARL was ON!

TEAM 57 members were treated to a FREE lunch, early entry to the lake, a FREE rain parka, and just for fun, I gave everyone a FREE Team 57 beanie TOO!....... Best of all, most everyone caught some fish!

"Ruby Wednesday" was a complete success!

First off, I'd like to say a BIG thank you to Santa Ana River Lakes & their entire staff for helping us make Ruby Wednesday a GREAT day! They went out of their way for this event!

Thanks Craig, and Mike...... you guys had the facility ready and the lunch you guys cooked up and served was perfect and hit the spot!

Thanks Craig for helping me with the extra fish we stocked! The bite was awesome!

Thanks to ALL the TEAM 57 members who braved the elements and came out to have some fun!
I think everyone will agree, it was well worth it!

I usually roll with the rain but not this time. I j-flake it out today along again with Jsauce...lol
I woke up and it sounded like millions of marbles was falling on the roof.Then I thought about the drive back.All I thought about was sleep,and who will bring i that double digit trout! Nice looking beenies.I want 3.How much? Congrats to everyone who rode out the horrible weather and went with the flow! Mad props.Even the women made the men look bad by going out while we hid from the innocent rain...lol Way to represent!! Thanks for the report!

This was my first event with TEAM 57 and it was great!!!!!

i met lots of nice members, caught my limit, good food all in all fantastic!

The staff and owner of SARLl was great as well, very hospitable and friendly!

I wish i could have stayed longer but 12:30 hit and so did the calls from the wifey and kids.... CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE :LOL:

I was really having a great time, thanks Tony, for sharing your canopy. Great job as usual Dana, fun seeing all who braved the weather, it wasnt't so bad, sun even came out for awhile. BTW, this is my 3rd january event at SARL...rained 2 out of 3.......maybe next year should be called rained day wed and it won't rain at all.......what a good time, thanks for the beanie, i needed the extra warmth......OFG

Thank you once again for such a wonderful time on the lake. I don't know how you do it Dana, but you have that special connection with the fishing gods, to aways have the weather cooperate for us. It was raining hard just before we entered the lake, but as soon as we pulled up to fish, it stopped raining.
It was a pleasure to see all the Team 57 members having such a good time. I got to meet EyeAmRealGhetto, he's one cool guy, seeing my favs like Olfishergal, Sue, Castaway, Bendo, RCFB & gal, Sierra Smitty, TroutNine and Koshaw. It was fun seeing BeBop just killing to the right of me all morning.
Thank you SARL staff for treating us to a great day on the lake and a tasty lunch.
Only thing that could've made the day better......EVEN MORE TEAM 57 MEMBERS BEING OUT THERE.
