I bought a Humminbird Fishin Buddy from NoHo Art a couple days ago and I am wondering how I should attach it to my float tube. A free or cheap way would be nice if you guys have any ideas. It is possible that I could attach it to the side of my tube somehow with the loops and other stuff on the side. I'm not sure. If I have to I could purchase the Cabela's Fishin Buddy holder or Humminbird Fishin Buddy holder, but being the guy that I am, I would only want to do that if I really have to. Thanks!

Here is an image of the side from the Creek Company site.

I am getting a rod holder that the Buddy fish finder would set in. I already checked it out.
when I get a chance to buy it, I will send you a Picture.

When do you think that will be? I am hoping to use my new fish finder this weekend.

go to home depot and buy your self a few pvc pipes and a bag of elbows and t's and built your self something that fits your tube .
there is a few threads here on fnn you can find some useful pictures.
you already have the clamp so im guessing all you have to built is something for your clamp to attach to

That is what I was thinking, but I'm not going to use the clamp. I might try building a rod holder that also holds the fish finder and possibly I can build a camera mount for it too for when I am by myself. The possibilities are endless, but the trouble is drawing up the plans and making sure I have everything I need so I don't have to make multiple trips back to the store. I might look at some threads for ideas.

It was nice doing business with you (and Geordy, lol). Thanks.

Here is a pretty cool thread that you have already seen before but worth another look (for attaching things to float tubes)...

When you get your Humminbird Fishin Buddy attached to your tube can you please post pictures? I just purchased a float tube and have started to acquire the other necessary accessories. The Fishin buddy seems like a great choice for a fish finder and it does not require a huge battery. Which version did you get 110, 120 or 140c?

Hey FireBall,
I've been using a strap-on cup holder for the last six years and it's fairly inexpensive. $19.99. Can be found on line and maybe web sites.

I got the 120. I think I am just going to try and put the fish finder in the loops/straps on the side, like I do with my extra rods. If it doesn't work out, then I will probably build something.
