1/17 Perch Fishing in NB

Spent 15 minutes looking for parking at 6 am. :EyePop: Fished between the 32nd and 36th Street jetties. Some salad this morning. :Wink: Most waves were small but some were chest height. Only had a few surfers between these jetties. Most of the surfers were just south of the 32nd Street jetty where the waves were bigger. Picked up 2 small perch on camo sandworm Gulp! :Cool:

When I left, 2 surfer fought over my parking spot :???: I wonder what it's going to be like next week when these storms roll in...

Nice little trip, glad to see you could get out there with these heavy surf conditions. I tried this week and I saw chest height waves rolling in one after another, a few easily over my head that could have sucked me out no problem!

Thats a great fishing spot. Thats always my first stop when i prowl the surf in newport.


Use lures though! the monster perch will hit lures.
