Today was day one of the Martin Luther King Tournament at the lake. A field of over two hundred tournament anglers showed up to via for a piece of the price and a shoot at a birth into the masters. A lot of quality fish where checked in today and it would take a allmost three pound fish to finish in the top ten.
Brian Carter topped the field today with a beautiful 9.8 Rainbow. Brian was trolling a Rainbow Trout Rapala in the flats when the big bow bit. Here is Braian pictured with his fish.

Ryan Messick of Chino Hills fished the West Shore from shore and caught this beut' while tossing a Red roostertail. Ryan's big rainbow weighed in at 8.14 good enough to earn him second place.Congratulations Ryan.

Gary Johnstone of Norwalk also cashed in on the big fish bite. Gary landed this 8.10 Rainbow while fishing at an undislcosed location with an undisclosed bait in fear that some one whould find out the secret to the big boys. Judging from where the picture was taken I d say he was fishing in boat dock cove?

And here are the rest of the top ten followed by the weight of their fish.
