had a trip planned to DVL and i had room for one more..asked lightning if he wanted to go..."AM IN." he said 4am rolls by and made the run ..met up with Lightning in line..i was second boat..man was it chilly this morning..my fingers were mad numb..more on this later
we launched and headed to east dam..working the drop shot for a while..then bingo..hook up..man this bass had it's squirrel pants on..i thought cold water bass did not fight this well..

man what a fight..we tried a few more spots working our way to west dam..stopping and working points and coves..in one cove we spooked a big trout..the only notable free swimmer we saw today..pointed the boat to the quarry found an empty stretch of lake..and we worked the DS some more i farmed one here..but next cast

this pot belled bass pops up..after lightning netted it ..we look up and find several boats in very close proximity...LOL.. classic..
we started to work our way back to the ramp..found a very nice cove with a rocky bank...Bingo!

one heck of a scrappy fighter..and that was it for the bass...
oh yea..one last catch i made..while trying to un strap the boat..and my fingers were
mad numb..i kinda got my thumb in very bad place..between the latch and strap
not feeling where my thumb was... i yanked the strap

one heck of a blood blister ouch!! well ouch later in day cause in am hands were numb
at the time only felt it later and i still do now ...
a tough day on the water but we scratched out a few..thanks lightning and brother when weather gets better we need to hit DVL some more..
