My buddy and I headed to the island the other night. Got there late, set the first nets about 7pm and fished until 10pm for 9 legals and about 30 shorts. Most were just barely short - next year should be good here. It was not as good as the other night, but I think it was because we got there late. I think they crawl better here right at sundown. There was also a seal bugging us this time which probably did not help.

My buddy came up with a great idea on the net floats that I thought I would share. He attached a pvc tube through the middle of the float and put an 8oz weight at the bottom. This makes it float upright with the other end sticking out of the water. Makes it easy to grab and see the glow stick.
