View Full Version : I love lake perris 1-10-10

My dad and I went to lake perris yesterday on 1-10-10 and it was our
first time there. Anyway got to the lake around 8 and was on the water by 8:30. By 8:50 my dad was hooked up with a beautiful redear. Then at 9 I was hooked up with my first redear of the day and then at 10
or so I got my first largemouth of 2010. 2 pounder. We decided to return to
land at 12:30 and we took off. In all I got 10 or 11 bites. Most of them either were hooked then came off because of how big the hook was. Lots of missed opportunities. DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All fish were caught on night crawlers on a dropshot. I tried to get some stripers on huddlestons but that didn't work. Have any of you caught on huddlestons and if so at what lake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please comment!!!!!

if u wanna catch stripers go to dvl i dont think there are many stripers in perris

I went on Saturday and got nothing. Just 4 bites

Nice going! Now go back to Perris next July and use #8 hooks and waxworms or crickets on your dropshot rig. You guys will love the Bluegill and Redear fishing!

Yup, Lake Perris is a cool place to fish. Can't wait to visit it again this spring/summer for the LM's.

it must be excellent for topwater season. there are so many rocks and weeds in perris.

I was reading the dam repair is starting soon. Did you see any activity?

The Lake Perris SRA site states that the Construction is estimated to begin in 2011 and completed by 2013.
