what type of pole are you looking to throw, and what technique do you intend to use? I live in Long Beach and fish the surf whenever possible. I use a 7" - 7'6" rod and dropshot for halibut and croakers

oh sounds good. I'm a custom rod builder and have been one for over a year now. I could wrap you a rod if you want. Or else you can go to Fisherman's Hardware and have their rod wrapper, Sy, wrap it for you.

Never had one wrapped by Mark at Performance Tackle, but I've seen his work and it's killer (urban camo split grips and downwrapped). If I was going to get a custom rod, that's who I would get to wrap one.

I just got two custom Calstar (800XL and 800M) wrapped by Moon from Fishermen's Depot. Moon does a very nice job and he gives you a good *** deal too! Used the 800XL last week for the 1st time and got jackpot!! Pair with Avet SX with 20#.....awesome combo! Picked up the 800M from Moon after the trip, will try it out this weekend. Gonna put a MXJ and 30# so I wont break off so often. Hopefully I can get another jackpot using the new rod. I will get a 800L from Moon in the near future.

You realize that most tackle shops will exchange your broken Crucial for a brand new one over the counter, no questions asked right?
