Nice report again! Looks like you & your buddy have it down to a science.

Game Warden $5 stamp: Right idea, but wrong way to implement it in my opinion. With as much historical evidence of Sacramento "poaching" DFG budgets for use in non-fishing related areas... Besides, why do I want to fiscally support the implementation of the MLPA? Just my 2 cents...

I'm with you on that.

If I ever see them write tickets at the Queen Mary Public Fishing Area (poacherville) and stop hanging out at the launch ramps sitting inside the DFG trucks, idleing with the AC on, I might reconsider.

Hi sansou,

Yes, valid points pro and con. Whole 'nother thread material therein !! I'm gonna do it simply as I would rather see guys 'going against the rules' get zapped than not !

On the dark-side .... if the wrong-doers were fishing in the MLPA and not getting caught they wouldn't be hitting where I fish !! hummmm .... let me think about it a little more ! ;)

Hi TShaffer,

Thanks. I might get it as a collectors thing. I'll have to see how they sell them. Might take some non-stick paper along when I buy the thing just in case they want to try to put it on a license themselves.

If the program is NOT successful, they won't have it next year.

Hi hbomb,

Thanks. 'On the iron' .... that's a good one as I know how you like throwing it !! They liked the plastic pretty good there after two other trips were we got no love at the rigs.

Hey Ron,
Nice report and very informative. I know what you mean about the squid on the boat (Very Messy).
Thanks for the picture of the Thresher. The one my son hooked up to wasn't that long, but now that I look at that picture his might have been closer to 6 feet than the 4-5 that I first thought.
It's always nice to have a buddy with a boat, You get to try different spots that the cattle boats don't normally get to.
Again thanks for the report and pics. You Have a Good One!
