My dad and I fished the morning outgoing tide on our tandem kayak from about about 9-12:15, we caught 13 spotties between the two of us as well as a few micro sand bass. None of the spotties were anything special so no pics, sorry. All bass were caught on 3 inch big hammer plastics. The fish were realy lethargic and not hitting the lures very hard, but we still managed a steady pick. We talked to a couple guys out there who were catching a few also, one of the guys on a float tube looked familiar and may have been an fnn'er but I was'nt sure so I didnt say anything. Anyway, while trying out a AA grub my dad caught this thing, I am pretty sure it is a Jacksmelt, anyone want to confirm that?

Definitely a jacksmelt. Sounds like you had an alright day. How big was the biggest spottie?

Bergie Berg, yeah that was me on the float tube. I guess it's time for me to get a Team 57 Sweatshirt.
I just posted too. Nice meeting you guys out there. Only ended up with one little sandie drifting in the area where you saw me.
Sounds like you did pretty good out there. Were you guys fishing the moorings the whole time?

Nice work. You should have used that smelt for Halibut bait!!!

BB,

Sounds like a nice outing!

I have tossed those Curly Tails in many colors in NPH and never even got a tap! I need to try them again!
