Need spinning rod

I have a Shimano Sadona 2500. Looking for a low dollar rod but not low quality. 7'6" to 8'6" I will be using it for surf fishing and for lake trout fishing primarily. Max I can spend is $50. Need your guys help.

$50 aint going to get you much in the way of quality. i was going to suggest shimano clarus rods but there more than 50 unless you can find them used.

Take a look at some of the California series of rods from Turners. I know they were on sale during the holiday's but not sure if they still are right now.

Plus you might check out the newer Berkley Rods. I hear good things about them also $30 to $65 range...
