Buena Vista Lake-HELP!

Im heading out to Buena Vista for the first time tommorrow morning. I consider myself a novice angler but have no idea what works at the lake. Any insight on what to use as far as leader size, weight of line, and how far out would be great. Also nightcralwers or power bait, which works better? Any info on the "best" spots would be awesome as well. I know this a lot to ask but I am taking the girlfriend out and she's not an avid fisherwoman to say the least so I want her to get into something. Im sure there are those who understand where I am coming from. Thanks again for any info! crawlers and powerbait seem to be indifferent. Maybe slight edge to crawlers right now. Have caught them on Kastmaster this year, seen the mini produce too.


I split shot, some use carolina setup with less than 1/4 ounce.

Weeds are thick on bottom. Adjust your leader to keep the bait out of them. Make sure crawler is inflated. I caught fish within 2 feet of bank and up to 50 feet out. Try it all.

Anywhere on the lake is about the same. Havent seen anyluck on extreme east end.

Secret spots are secret spots. Me and my Bako crew have spent probably 20 days combined and several hundred dollars this season, so forgive me.

secret spots:ROFL: on a lake you can damn near piss across, I don't think so.

PM me if you want, I'll tell all. could'nt hurt anymore than the heat we already have on our local fishing holes due the amount of postings.
