Camping/fishing in the sierras????

Hi,
I've been to mammoth but only in the winter for skiing etc... I want to take my wife, daughter, and dog to the sierras for some camping and fishing this summer. Can anyone recommend a great camping spot, one with good lakes/streams real close? A campground that has spread out spots and privacy is always a plus... Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Rock Creek, has 11 campgrounds, all close to the creek and Rock Creek Lake. I think its the best place to camp in the Sierras. www.rockcreeklake.com

Check out the Twin Lakes area in Bridgeport, lakes and creeks.
