After a good long night of New Years festivities, a couple of buddies and myself decide we should start the new year off right (right meaning disregarding all plans previously made to FISH!!!) We head out about 5:30 get to the lake at about 7:00 and rent a boat and are on the water by 7:30. This was the first time that I had ever rented or fished from a boat, at least in fresh water and also my first time to DVL. But before I even put my line in the water i met up with Vision246 he had a big swimbait rod for sale, this was my first baitcast setup and man it is SAAWWEEETT!!!! we fished the dam and most of the points until my 6" swimmie got blown up on... BOOM!!! but i missed it :mad: I thought that for sure this was going to continue as people all around me were hooking up but that turned out to be the first and last action that any of us saw, so around 12:30 or so we turned it in but I will be back and next time I want BLOOD!!!!:Twisted: Happy New Year FNN and tight lines
