irvine lake 1-2-10

my dad and i decided to hit irvine lake yesteday so we left the house around 5:45 a.m and stopped at starbucks for breakfast, then we were off to irvine. got there about 7:00 a.m. strong winds up until 9. then the sun came up and it was a beautiful day. 7 - 11:30 was really slow for everybody. we had a fish finder so we knew where the fish were, but they wouldn't bite. we were trolling most of the day and around 11:50 i got my first bite. i pulled that rainbow in and he weighed in at 2 1/2 lbs. i was using a pink floating rapala with 6 lbs test. that was the only sucker we managed to haul in. most people only got 1 or 2 also. it was a pretty slow day. :Smile:
