Just got off the phone with him. Despite working like 50 days straight and suffering from a bad fever..
He told me a story. A story which brings great regret for me to share with you.
Apperently when he was fishing last. About a month ago, he scratched his pinky finger. He hooked up with a decent striper after the accident.
What happens next saddens me. After the fight and just as he was preparing to Tuna sling him. {the very technique he pioneered}
His injuries were so severe that he couldn't "tuna sling" a three pounder!!! He had to give the rod to Gatblood for him to sling.
How do I continue on? My number one tuna slingn comrade .
I mean, do we just take him out like Old Yellar?? If a die hard striper fisherman can't even sling a 3 pounder??
What do we do to the shell that once was a great striper fisherman?
BTW, his finger is pretty bad. Says he lost all feeling in pinky and has nerve damage. {Along with existing brain damage}
Just thought I would pass it on to all the FNN'ers who have been asking me about him
