259 bucks for a bent pipe and a pulley not worth it IMO. If you pull from deep water make your own that's what we did but we don't use it unless we pull from 60 + feet.

Old news.
Those have been out for a couple years. Last 2 years at Fred Hall show.
Have you seen Jims electric puller ? 150' pulls with a beer in one hand no problem. I built a manual out of 1 1/2" Electrical tubing thats slides into the 30 degree rod holder then goes up about a foot above the side rail then has a 30 degree kick upward about another 1 1/2' to a 90 degree bend outward from the boat about 2'. Then a 3/8" x 3" eye bolt welded shut with 3 links of chain for the pivot to a pulley that is open on one side. Also has a stainless angle brace going to a saddle that sits on the side rail of the boat so it won't turn when pulling.
Bent it at a muffler shop.

When you use a puller you have to re-enforce the lower part of the rod holder or it will tweek the rod holder
and possible damage the fiberglass too.

The best advantage is you can pull straight or horizantal rather then downward so it is easier on your back,
and it keep the rope off the boat or rubrail.
