Diamond Valley Lake "DVL" Fishing Report December 09
So TheBassTaxi has been out in full force on Diamond Valley Lake "DVL" since the "Re-opening" this month and let me tell you that as the fishing has been great! (check out the pics/story here http://www.thebasstaxi.com/blog/?p=546)

Over the weekend My son and I finally got to get out there together and have a bit of "Family fishing time" together. We started out with a plan just to get out there and check out a couple of the "old haunts" together. We didn't plan to stay any longer than a 2 hrs or so.
Well, we hit the lake at opening and got "thebasstaxi" launched and off we went. Straight across the lake to "rawson's cove". We started out throwing some "reaction baits" and "swimbaits" and within the first hour dad had 3 "Blow-ups" on our personal favorite "Lunker Punker". After reading an article from http://thewiredangler.com web blog regarding "pimping your punker" last year sometime we got into doing are own modifications on this bait. Don't get me wrong, this bait is Perfect straight from the store, no modification is needed to catch big fish although it has been fun learning how to airbrush and a couple other things that seem to really "personalize" the bait for us. Give it try, but be warned "It's Addicting!"
We moved around the lake to many different spots and tossed everything that we had written down from last yrs or the previous yrs fishing log book. The lake looks really different these days, still an incredible bass fishing lake. I encourage every bassfisherman out there to visit the lake right now and bring a camera because with the water level as low as it is, your going to be able to take some great pictures of some exposed structure most of us never knew existed.
Well, a couple of hours quickly ended up being the whole day! we ended the day with "thebasstaxi" being nearly the last boat off the water at around 4 pm! I've included a couple of pics of my son joe with his fish for the day caught on his current personal favorite (as of today) "the chatterbait".
As always, If anyone needs a quality "Skeeter" bassboat rental, Please give us a ring or a send us an email and we will get you hooked up and locked in. There's still plenty of days available this month and the fishing is just getting better and better!
Thanks again and "Tight Lines"
