The past few days at the lake have been good on both quanity and quality. Both the big boys and the stocker sized fish have been readily biting trolled lures, powerbaits such as Garlic, Salmon Peach, and Chrt Gulp Dough, and of course the trusty old nightcrawler.

Paul Horvat of La Verne took advantage of the troll bite and the light crowd on New Years Day. Paul was trolling the bouy line in Siera Cove when this 11.6 Rainbow bit. The big bow bit a Rapala lure.

Omar Banks aka...Mr Huggybear of Moreno Valley came out to the lake on New Years Eve on tradition and was rewarded handsomely once again! Omar bested this beautiful 10.6 Rainbow while fishing suprise suprise a orange powermouse in boat dock cove! Here is Omar with his 2nd double digit in as many weeks.

Also cashing in on New Years Eve was Mark "Big Daddy" Christopher of Palm Springs. I am going to give you all a little back ground story first. Mark busted off a big fish earlier and was a little down in the dumps about it. However, he got a 2nd chance! Mark got bit on a rod knowen as MINI ME, his grandkids little ice fishing rod, and battled this fish for a little while. This author witnessed the fight and knew it was a good fish. Omar netted the beast and Mark let out a "Thank You Jesus!!!" I am so stoked for Mark with his catch! It gives me great pleasure to show you Mark "Big Daddy" Christoph with his personal best Rainbow at 9.8! Chould not happen to a greater guy Mark, Congratulations!

Rounding out the big fish parade these past few days was Gary Johnstone of Covina. Gary was fishing a nightcrawler in boat dock cove when this lunker bow bit. Gary's fish weighed in at 8.0 on the lake scales. Congratulations Gary!
