Lake Wohlford MEGA report

Here's an updated pic from 12/23/09 old report. We even made it into the Wohlford lake fish report.

We hit the lake back up on the 12/26 for two solid 2.5lb fish. No pics. One fish took white PB corn dipped. The other was my GF's first ever dropshot fish; caught on a white nitroworm.

Next, went back to the lake on 12/28 and caught one on a berkley chart atomic tube off the floating dock. It was a slow day of fishing. Found out later that they were stocking on 12/29.

Finally went back to the lake on 12/30. Landed 2 smaller ones on chart gulp 20 feet from shore. Then my GF caught a 4lb 3oz fish on white PB corn dipped casted far out; her personal best.

Then I caught another 4lb 2oz fish on a dead sticked power worm casted far out.

Thanks man. Yeah, this lake is becoming one of my favorites: $7 fishing fee, LIGHT crowds, mostly retired people and families fishing bait and wait style, and the park rangers are very personable.

They "only" plant 1,500 pounds of fish at a time. However, the fishing pressure on the lake is so low; the fish last a while in there. In addition, the average weight of the fish we caught are consistently in the 2-4.5lb range.

IMO LNL is the only other lake where the average fish is about 2lbs.

Hey way to go Bradakas!!! Thanks for the pics and your report. This is my home lake. Hey I actually saw you and your g/f on the 12/26. I noticed your boots and your g/f walked by where i was fishing. Next time i'll have to go over and introduce myself to you. I live 3 miles from there!!
