hello all this is my first post.i live pretty close to rancho jurupa.thinking about going tomorrow 12-31.how has the fishing been,,and what usually works for bait???i used to catch trout in the back small lake on power bait,,but never too much luck in the main lake.thanx in advance---rich

a friend fished it sunday and i think they got 3 or 4, on all different bait from lures to power bait.

well you know im not one for crowds,,,it was elbow to elbow at the main lake.i went to the back lake and fished,,had 4 good bites on rainbow and capt.america powerbait,,,but they didnt stick.it was still cool to get out and burn up one last day on my 09 lisence,,you been out???

i went out on thursday to the main lake around 12ish...saw that it was elbow
to elbow, but most were bait and wait people...so i decided to squeeze in a good spot and start my jiggin! and whatta you know!? i start slayin them. haah. it was on fire that day! probably wont fish there again until next time...
probably the derby they're having on the 23rd! :Big Grin:

Get there early to beat the crowds. Plus the trout are more active(chasing lures) in the early morning hours. :Wink:

Yea it was crowded seen big game there he was killing it with power worms, I had no love on gold & silver Thomas Boyuants Big game told me to try the super duper so I tied my 1 and only 1 on and casted it out and the damn thing snapped of my line:ROFL: then some dude squeeze in by us and caught 3 within 10 mins and guess what? They were using a super duper:ROFL:
I guess it just wasnt my day. It was fun though ran into alot of other people i knew out there.:Cool:
