View Full Version : Can you say limits at skinner? 12-28-09 pics

so it was me, StiperKing(sk), and our buddy ryan decided to hit up skinner yesterday. we left ryans house at 5:30am and got to the entrance of the lake at around 6:15ish. we got a rental boat and headed out to ramp 2. As we pull up we see lots of birds just swarming the place but there were hardly any boils. we started throwing some lures with no luck. it was about 8:30 and no fish so SK decided we should might start trolling. we started trolling and got plenty of hits just no hook ups. finally around 9:30-1:00 the bite opened up and pretty much every pass was a fish. got a couple 5lb and 4lbers. had limit by 1:30 and went home. all in all a good day. here are some pics of after becuase we were to busy to take pictures during the troll.

here is the cleaning station the big striper closer to the pic is a striper on top of another striper

Way to kill it! How about some details...trolling speed, depth, lures...anything?? :)

trolling kinda deep dont know didnt have a fishfinder, z plugs, and some swimbaits.

i was oujt there also yesterday but our bite died by 10:30. nice to see you guys were able to figure them out.im sure i saw you in the boat.we were in a tan glastron deck boat fishing across from the ramp2.couldn't keep them off of the white swimbaits for the first 2 hours! might head out tomorrow if i can get my ***** out of bed early enough. nice report.

yea i saw out there, matter of fact we talked at the cleaning station we were about to leave and you pulled up. good job out there.

When are you and your Dad going to fish Diamond Valley. Well if you are going out on Saturday I will be out at Skinner on saturday too. Your Dad said you guys may go out.

I'll see you out there if you wake up jensen500 I'll be out there in my buddy's bass boat i think its a bass tracker.

Went yesterday conditions were tough for everyone out there. We saw scattered boils in the morning no schools or bait on the meter. We ended up with only 2 stripers throwing jerkbaits at them we also trolled for no avail. The Trout stock truck came in the afternoon and saved the day really nice sized ones too.
